Versions and features
FateKit's features and data practices may vary by version, device, region, language, account status, and the choices you make. Many calculations and archives can remain on your device. Optional features may use device permissions or online services as described in the app and this policy.
A feature being described here does not mean that it is available in your version or collecting information. Before an optional feature processes information, FateKit will provide the explanation, permission request, choice, or consent required for that feature. App Store privacy disclosures will reflect the actual behavior of released versions.
Information FateKit may process
Depending on the features you actually use, FateKit may process archives and content you enter or create; device information and permissions you choose to provide, including location; on-device preferences and local identifiers; account, sync, sharing, communication, or support information you submit; purchase and subscription status provided by the App Store; and technical, security, or service logs needed to operate online features.
Information for a feature is not collected merely because that feature is described in this policy. FateKit uses information to provide and maintain the feature you select, which may include calculations, personalization, storage, sync, export, sharing, communication, support, access verification, purchases, security, troubleshooting, service improvement, and legal compliance. Any materially different use will be explained before it begins where required.
The public website does not receive your app archives. Its hosting and security provider may process necessary request information such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and security events to deliver and protect the site. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include so we can respond.
Local app data
Archives, dates, times, places, time zones, coordinates, prompts, preferences, local identifiers, and creation or update timestamps may be stored in the app's local data container. On-device features may use this information for calculations, displays, archives, prompts, exports, and other functions described in the app.
Content kept solely in local features is not sent to the developer. It may leave your device when you choose to export, copy, share, sync, contact support, or use a clearly identified online feature. The app will identify the destination and purpose where required before sending.
Only when you choose Use Current Location does FateKit request When In Use location access for a one-time location result. The current feature uses the result on your device to select a nearby city and calculate sky data. This location is not sent to the developer. You can also use the bundled offline city database or enter a place and coordinates manually without granting location access. If another feature needs a protected device resource, FateKit will request access when needed and explain its purpose.
Your operating system or a backup service you enable may include app data in a device backup under that service's own settings and privacy terms.
Accounts, sync, and online services
Some features may work without an account, while others may require sign-in, sync, or another online service. Before activation, the app will explain the information required, its purpose, storage, and available controls. If FateKit supports account creation, it will also provide a way to initiate account deletion in the app.
Online services may process basic technical and security logs and may process data in different countries or regions with safeguards required by applicable law. We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Purchases and subscriptions
If paid digital features are available, purchases will be processed by the App Store. FateKit may receive product, transaction, and subscription status needed to verify access, but will not receive full payment-card details. Prices, terms, trials, renewal, and cancellation conditions will be shown in the purchase interface and App Store.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
Local archives can be deleted in the app, and uninstalling removes the app's local data container. You control copies exported elsewhere. Online data, if any, will be retained as described for the feature and only as long as necessary for the stated purpose, security, records, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
You may disable optional features, withdraw related permissions, or contact support to request access, correction, export, or deletion, subject to identity verification and legal exceptions. Support messages may be kept as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain appropriate records.
FateKit is not directed to children below the minimum age under applicable law. If a future feature requires age verification or parental consent, an appropriate mechanism will be provided before activation.
We will update this policy and its effective date when features or data practices change and provide appropriate notice of material changes.
